Step 1: Wash hands.
Step 2: Wash the udder of the cow and wipe it.

d. How to milk a cow by machine, what is the process?
The milking process involving the use of a machine consists of a few steps. They are as follows:
- The cattle to be milked is first selected, and then brought together.
- They are then taken into the milk parlour where they undergo a proper inspection. It is also during this stage that the teats (nipples) of the cattle is checked.
- Milk equipment is then attached to the ‘udder’ of the cattle.
- The milk is then extracted and transferred through tubes via vacuum into a stainless steel bulk tank.
- The milk equipment is automatically removed from the teat of the cattle.
- The cattle is then brought back to the barn.
